BBQ sauce is a classic position in American cuisine and well-known sauce all over the world. It's hard to imagine grill season without it.
The characteristic taste - slightly spicy, slightly sweet with a hint of spices and strongly noticeable tomato is a great addition to almost all meats and sandwiches.
This version is an aromatic homemade whiskey-based sauce.

  1. Blanch tomatoes and peel them
  2. Cut into small cubes and toss into the pan (preferably with non-stick coating)
  3. In bowl mix remaining ingredients (without whisky) and pour into frying pan
  4. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently
  5. When tomatoes become soft and begin to disintegrate you can raise the temperature to evaporate water faster
  6. After sauce is smooth and has slightly thick consistency add whisky and simmer for about 5 more minutes
