Light omelet with ham and mozzarella

Omelets are very popular dishes to serve for breakfast. There are a lot of ways to do the same "dough" of omelette and possibilities of "fillings" are endless.
Today the light version. Lots of protein, low carbohydrates. The meal which can provide a large amount of energy which will last for a few hours.

  1. Insert eggs into a bowl or cup
  2. Season them with salt and pepper (just a pinch of salt and twice as much pepper)
  3. Mix well to achieve a fine consistency
  4. Heat the pan with butter until it melts. You can use pan with a diameter of 24 cm and 28 cm (depending on whether you prefer thick or thin omelettes)
  5. Pour the eggs and cover with lid
  6. Fry for about 5 minutes on medium heat until top of the egg has set
  7. In the middle of omelette put chopped ham and mozzarella.
  8. Fold the omelette in half, cover and cook for another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted
  9. For better taste you can decorate it with fresh basil leaves
